Main business

To fulfill the purposes set out in the ‘basis of establishment,’ KAWA is mainly engaged in the following activities
(under Article 4 of the Articles of Association):

	Conducting research and study on agro-fishery wholesale market system
	Addressing government-related matters: raising complaints and offering feedback to advisory opinions
	Managing statistics on members’ operation and collecting/distributing relevant data and information
	Providing training courses to the employees of wholesale markets
	Publishing leaflets, books and KAWA’s magazine; conducting inspection; and holding lectures and research group meetings
	Encouraging producers and producer’s communities to directly release their products into wholesale markets; and implementing a range of programs to reduce distribution costs and ensure fair trading order via listed auction system
	Carrying out projects commissioned by the government
	Managing lease/rent business for the KAWA building
	Handling other businesses incidental to the above-mentioned activities
